Job summary

Capitol City Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) for a full-time Long Term Care role in Washington, DC. You will complete nutrition assessments according to MDS, develop individualized care plans, and monitor interventions to achieve outcomes.

The position requires an ACEND-accredited degree, active RD/RDN credential, and DC licensure, with LTC experience preferred. Proficiency with EMRs like PointClickCare is desirable, and a comprehensive benefits package is

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from ACEND-accredited program.
• Active RD/RDN credential in good standing.
• Active DC Dietetic Licensure in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Complete nutrition assessments per MDS schedule (Section K & CAAs).
• Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans.
• Monitor and revise nutrition interventions for desired outcomes.
• Provide nutrition recommendations addressing identified diagnoses.
• Support PDPM principles compliance.
• Supervise the Dietary Department to ensure food safety and resident satisfaction.
• Maintain documentation in PointClickCare or similar EMR.

Location: Washington, DC

Key Responsibilities

• Complete required nutrition assessments per MDS schedule (including Section K and applicable CAAs)
• Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans
• Monitor and revise nutrition interventions to ensure desired outcomes
• Provide nutrition recommendations addressing identified diagnoses
• Support compliance with PDPM principles
• Supervise and assist the Dietary Department to ensure food safety, regulatory compliance, and resident satisfaction
• Maintain accurate documentation within PointClickCare or similar EMR

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from an ACEND-accredited program
• Active Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential in good standing
• Active DC Dietetic Licensure (LDN/LD) in good standing
• Experience with MDS, PDPM, and NFPE
• Proficiency in PointClickCare(PCC) or similar EMR preferred
• Long-term care experience strongly preferred (2years ideal, but less experience considered)
