Job summary

Medix Staffing Solutions, Inc. is seeking a qualified Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) to join our virtual clinical team supporting an innovative weight loss program.

You will deliver evidence-based Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and behavioral counseling to individuals pursuing sustainable weight loss and cardiometabolic health management. This remote role offers flexible scheduling, onboarding, and the opportunity to impact patients during peak season.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Dietetics, Clinical Nutrition, or related field.
• Active RD/RDN credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Multi-state licensure is highly preferred (Illinois and/or Florida encouraged).
• Experience or strong interest in weight management, obesity care, or cardiometabolic health.
• Telehealth experience is a plus; newcomers welcome to build telehealth experience.
• Bilingual Spanish fluency is a plus (not required).
• CDCES or CSOWM is a plus.
• Reliable computer with webcam, high-speed internet; BYOD acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structured 30-minute virtual consultations focusing on MNT, goal setting, and behavior change.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and care teams in medical weight loss programs.
• Manage a panel of clients through an initial series of structured visits before transitioning to health coaches.

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Registered Dietitian (RD) to join our virtual clinical team supporting an innovative medical weight loss program. In this role, you will deliver evidence-based Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and behavioral counseling to individuals working toward sustainable weight loss and chronic cardiometabolic condition management.

Whether you are an experienced clinician or a newer graduate looking to expand your telehealth experience, this role offers flexible scheduling, paid comprehensive onboarding, and the opportunity to make an immediate impact during our peak season.

Role & Responsibilities

Individualized Nutrition Counseling: Conduct structured 30-minute virtual consultations (via video, phone, and secure messaging) focusing on Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT), goal setting, and lasting behavior change.

Collaborative Care: Partner closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and care teams supporting patients participating in medical weight loss programs (including those on weight loss medications).

Care Continuum: Manage a panel of clients through an initial series of 5 structured weekly visits before smoothly transitioning them to dedicated health coaches.

Digital Health Engagement: Leverage modern digital health tools and mobile applications to track patient progress, nutrition, food logs, and biometric metrics.

Clinical Documentation & Compliance: Document patient visits and encounters accurately within clinical platforms while adhering strictly to HIPAA, PHI protocols, and quality assurance standards.

Schedule & Hours

Work Modality: 100% Remote (Work from home).

Commitment Options: Both Full-Time and Part-Time options available across all US time zones (minimum commitment of 10 hours/week).

Shift Flexibility:

Monday – Friday: Schedule availability between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (RD local time). Standard blocks include 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Saturday: Optional morning shifts from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

Seasonal Peak Demand: High patient visit volume expected from January through mid-March (providing maximum billable hours).

Candidate Qualifications

Education & Credentials:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Dietetics, Clinical Nutrition, or related field from an accredited institution.

Active Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

Licensure:

Multi-state licensure is highly preferred (Candidates licensed in Illinois (IL) and/or Florida (FL) strongly encouraged to apply; additional state licenses open access to more hours).

Experience:

Background or strong interest in weight management, obesity care, or cardiometabolic health.

Telehealth or virtual care experience is a plus, but motivated new graduates / green dietitians eager to build telehealth experience are welcome to apply.

Language Skills:

Bilingual Spanish fluency is a plus (not required).

Certifications (Preferred):

Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) or Board Certified Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management (CSOWM) is an asset.

Access to a reliable, personal computer/laptop equipped with a secure operating system, webcam, microphone, and high-speed internet connection (BYOD).

Comfort utilizing cloud-based collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Suite, Slack).

Training & Onboarding

Fully Paid Orientation: Complete a self-paced, online onboarding curriculum (~15–20 hours) fully compensated upon completion.

Dedicated Leadership: 1-on-1 mentorship with an RD Clinical Lead to support workflow setup, calendar configuration, and clinical orientation.
