Job summary

Elior North America is hiring an experienced registered dietitian for Benedictine New Brighton (Innsbruck site) within the Cura-Hospitality brand. You will assess nutritional needs of residents, implement interventions to maintain nutritional status, and improve quality of life in coordination with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities include nutrition education, adherence to practice standards, cross-department collaboration, and ongoing quality improvement participation.

Qualifications

• CDR certification or eligibility required.
• 75 hours of CE every 5 years as per CDR.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

The Role At a Glance

We are looking to add an experienced registered dietitian to our healthcare team in New Brighton. As a registered dietitian, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient’s/resident’s goals.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.

Must-haves

• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field.
• Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.

$70,000 - $75,000
