Job summary

Saber Healthcare Group is seeking a Dietitian to plan and deliver nutritional care to residents in a long-term care setting. You’ll follow physician orders and applicable federal, state, and local standards while adhering to infection control policies.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition, active RD license, and CODR registration, plus 2+ years in long-term care or 1 year as a consulting RD. Opportunities for both part-time and full-time shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition required.
• Active license as a Registered Dietitian.
• Must maintain active CODR registration.
• 2+ years in long-term care as a professional dietitian or 1 year as consulting dietitian.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver nutritional care to residents per physician orders and applicable standards and regulations.
• Adhere to health, sanitary and infection control policies and facility dietary procedures.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition

Active state license as a Registered Dietitian

Active membership and registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration

Two years of experience as a professional dietitian or dietetic technician in long-term care or one year as a registered consulting dietitian

Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of your job is to plan and deliver nutritional care to residents in accordance with the physicians’ orders and with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the community. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Dietary Policies and Procedures.

Education/Qualifications:

• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition and must hold an active state license as a Registered Dietitian.

• Must maintain active membership and registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.

• Must possess two (2) years of experience as a professional dietitian or dietetic technician in long-term care with some administrative responsibility, or one (1) year experience as a registered consulting dietitian.

• Must possess working knowledge of the fundamentals of food safety and sanitation.
