Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Dietitian I to provide medical nutrition therapy to patients, employees, and the community. This full-time role follows 0800–1630 schedules, including holidays and on-call, within the Nutrition Services team.

You will establish standard care processes, maintain patient data for diet prescriptions, and deliver nutrition education to patients and families to support optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from ACEND/AND approved program.
• CDR registration or registry eligible (must obtain within 6 months).
• Licensed Dietitian in Kentucky (must obtain within 3 months of hire or credentials).
• One year experience as a Registered Dietitian preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and implements a standardized Nutrition Care Process to identify and treat patients needing Medical Nutrition Therapy.
• Maintains pertinent patient data to recommend, prescribe, or modify therapeutic diets as needed.
• Develops and provides nutrition education/counseling to patients, families, and caretakers.

Responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy to patients, employees, and the community in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Baptist Health.

Job Duties:

• Establishes and implements a standardized Nutrition Care Process to identify and treat those patients requiring Medical Nutrition Therapy.
• Maintains pertinent patient data necessary to recommend, prescribe, or modify therapeutic diets as needed to meet the nutritional needs of the patients.
• Develops and provides nutrition education/counseling to patients, patient family, and patient caretakers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from a recognized accredited University or College approved by the Accreditation Council for Education and Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) or the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)
• Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or registry eligible (must obtain within 6 months of hire)
• Licensed Dietitian in the state of Kentucky (must obtain within 3 months of hire or within 3 months of obtaining credentials)

Preferred Requirements:

• One year experience as a Registered Dietitian preferred
