Job summary

Walden Behavioral Care is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a per diem role. The position supports ambulatory nutrition services with supervision by the Director of Ambulatory Nutrition Services. It offers on-site, hybrid, or virtual work options and a pay rate of $31.73–$47.00 per hour, depending on education and experience.

This role focuses on clinical nutrition, meal planning, and nutrition therapy for individuals with eating disorders, contributing to a multidisciplinary care team.

Qualifications

• RD credential required.
• Experience in ambulatory nutrition services preferred.
• Ability to document assessments and treatment plans clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical nutrition and meal plans in line with Walden's philosophy and goals.
• Conducts nutrition assessments and documents them using clinical terminology.
• Performs individual and group nutrition therapy.
• Creates meal plan outlines and guides patients toward nutrition rehabilitation.
• Participates in treatment team and discharge planning.
• Delivers nutrition education to patients and families.
• Communicates progress to patient, family, treatment team, and referral sources.
• Oversees meals and coaching for clients as needed.

The Registered Dietitian provides clinical nutrition and dietary plans under the supervision of Director of Ambulatory Nutrition Services.

This is a Per Diem position on-site, hybrid or virtual.

Pay: $31.73-$47.00/hour depending on education and experience

• Provides clinical nutrition and meal plans in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Walden Behavioral Care
• Provide Nutrition assessments to all patients and accurately and thoroughly document nutritional assessment and patient issues using appropriate clinical terminology.
• Perform individual and group nutrition therapy.
• Provide meal plan/guide outlines and work with patients towards nutrition rehabilitation.
• Participate in treatment team planning and discharge planning.
• Provide effective nutrition education to patients and families.
• Communicate progress and activities related to treatment and continuing care plans on an ongoing basis to the patient, family, treatment team, referral source and other individuals involved in the patient’s care.
• Supervise breakfast, lunch and snacks while providing meal coaching to clients, as needed.
