Job Description
The Registered Dietitian is responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy to patients in a hospital setting. This includes assessing patients’ nutritional needs, developing and implementing nutrition care plans, and providing nutrition education.
Responsibilities
• Assess patients’ nutritional needs using the Nutrition Care Process
• Develop and implement nutrition care plans
• Provide nutrition education to patients and their families
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team
• Participate in performance improvement and research activities
• Mentor dietetic interns and diet technicians
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition/dietetics from an accredited institution
• Completion of a supervised practice didactic program accredited by the Accreditation Counsel for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
• One to two years of clinical experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, verbal, and written communication skills
• Knowledge of best practices in clinical nutrition and the dietetics profession
• Knowledge of Nutrition Care Process and its use in complex cases in the clinical setting

• This position is full-time.
• The work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
• The position is located at Cobb Hospital in Marietta, Georgia.
