Job summary

Elior North America’s Cura-Hospitality team is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join the Meadowbrook Campus clinic at Holy Redeemer Health System. You will assess patients’ nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and support quality of life goals in a healthcare setting.

In this onsite, non-exempt role you’ll educate patients and staff, follow Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards, and collaborate with dining services to optimize care and nutrition programs.

Qualifications

• Passed national examination by CDR or eligible per Academy standards.
• Completes 75 hours CE every five years.
• Licensed or certified as required by state.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the healthcare team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures, policies, and problem solve related to dining and nutrition.

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced registered dietitian to our healthcare team in Meadowbrook. As a registered dietitian, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient’s/resident’s goals. This is a non-exempt role and you will be paid hourly.

What you'll be doing:

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.

What we're looking for:

Must-haves:

• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Nice-to-haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field.
• Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.
