Job summary

Oak River Rehab in Anderson, CA is seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD) to join our interdisciplinary team and impact resident health outcomes through expert nutrition care. The ideal candidate holds a California-licensed RD (CDR eligible), a Bachelor's in Nutrition or related field, and a commitment to professional development.

  • Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligible to sit for the RD Exam.
  • Licensed Dietitian in the State of California (or eligible as required)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition or related field.
  • Maintain all required licenses, certifications, and continuing education

Responsibilities

  • Complete nutritional initial, quarterly, annual, and significant change assessments in accordance with federal and state regulations.
  • Conduct monthly nutrition reviews for high-risk residents, including significant weight loss or gain, tube feeding, hemodialysis residents.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans.
  • Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions, and provide nutritional counseling.
  • Coordinate nutrition services with the Dietary Supervisor and interdisciplinary care team.
  • Monitor dietary operations for compliance with nutrition, food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
  • Inspect diet trays to ensure physician diet orders are accurately followed.
  • Consult with physicians, nurse practitioners, dialysis dietitians, and other healthcare providers regarding resident nutritional needs.
  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings and interdisciplinary care conferences.
  • Provide leadership and support to the Dietary Department while promoting excellence in resident care.

What You'll Do

As our Registered Dietitian, you'll play an essential role in improving resident health outcomes by providing expert nutritional assessments, care planning, education, and oversight of dietary services.

Key Responsibilities include:

Qualifications
Required
  • Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligible to sit for the RD Exam
  • Licensed Dietitian in the State of California (or eligible as required)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition or related field
  • Maintain all required licenses, certifications, and continuing education
  • Remain in good standing with the California Department of Public Health
Preferred
  • One year of clinical healthcare or skilled nursing experience
  • Completion of an accredited dietetic internship

  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and staff
