Job summary

Summit Healthcare Staffing LLC seeks a compassionate Registered Dietitian (RD) to join a pediatric skilled nursing facility in Ossining, NY. The RD will assess nutrition, develop care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support growth and recovery for children with complex needs.

Both experienced and new credentialed dietitians are encouraged to apply. Competitive salary ($75,000–$90,000) with opportunities for full-time or part-time schedules; RN/CDN credentials preferred

Qualifications

• RD credential or RD-eligible.
• New York CDN preferred.
• Pediatric nutrition experience preferred, but not required.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or with medically complex patients is a plus.
• Strong communication, clinical assessment, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor growth, hydration, and nutritional status; review labs as needed.
• Assess needs and provide recommendations for oral and enteral feeding plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists and other professionals to coordinate care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and communicate with families/caregivers.

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Dietitian (RD) to join a highly regarded, 5-star pediatric skilled nursing facility in Ossining, NY.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dietitian who is passionate about helping children and young adults with complex medical and developmental needs. You'll work alongside a dedicated interdisciplinary team to provide individualized nutritional care that supports growth, recovery, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans.
• Monitor residents' growth, weight, hydration, nutritional status, and relevant laboratory results.
• Assess nutritional needs and provide recommendations for oral, enteral, and specialized feeding plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and communicate recommendations to families and caregivers.
• Provide nutrition education and support to staff and families.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Support initiatives that improve nutritional outcomes and quality of care.

• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential or RD-eligible.
• New York State Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist (CDN) preferred.
• Pediatric nutrition experience preferred, but not required.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or working with medically complex patients is a plus.
