Base pay range: $38.80/hr - $66.56/hr

Responsibilities
  1. Perform prophylactic treatments and instruct patients in oral hygiene.
  2. Adhere to infection control and OSHA standards.
  3. Administer local anesthesia.
  4. Assist in implementing treatment plans and recall schedules.
  5. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory.
  6. Perform scaling, root planning, polishing, and charting of oral conditions.
  7. Take dental x-rays and apply topical fluoride for patients under 18.
  8. Provide oral hygiene instructions and assist in training staff.
  9. Develop community health educational programs.
  10. Work flexible hours as needed.
  11. Maintain knowledge of billing practices related to hygiene services.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Current California Dental Hygiene license, CPR certification, and Radiographic examination.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Honesty, responsibility, confidentiality, and effective communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and team skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Physical ability to perform clinical duties, including lifting and standing for long periods.
  • Compliance with all SIHC policies and participation in mandatory training.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screening.
