Qualifications

• Current State Dental Hygiene License
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and education
• Experience using Dentrix & DEXIS software (preferred)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus

Responsibilities

• Conduct oral health assessments, including reviewing oral health history and examining patients for signs of oral diseases such as gingivitis
• Perform dental cleanings, including removing plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth
• Apply fluoride and sealants to prevent cavities
• Educate patients about proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations
• Take and develop dental X-rays
• Record and evaluate patients' dental histories and document treatment plans and progress
• Collaborate with dentists in planning treatment for patients, assisting in consultations, and making recommendations for care
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace by adhering to infection-control protocols and all health and safety regulations
