Job Responsibilities

• Promote dental health through prophylaxis, oral cancer screenings, radiographs, and procedures per the Dental Practice Act.
• Prepare patients for treatment by welcoming, seating, and draping.
• Provide information and answer questions for patients and staff.
• Maintain instruments by sterilizing, sharpening, and selecting.
• Select materials and evaluate patients’ oral health for visits.
• Perform dental prophylaxis, removing deposits and stains.
• Detect disease via screenings, examinations, and radiographs.
• Apply fluorides and other agents to prevent decay.

Job Requirements

• Active dental hygiene license in MO.
• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
• Excellent communication skills for patient education.
