Big Smiles Florida, a school-based mobile dental home, is seeking a part-time Registered Dental Hygienist in Orlando, FL and surrounding areas beginning in September 2025 to help provide dental care to underserved children at their school.

Our innovative in-school dental program offers something different from a traditional dental practice. With a workday that ends with the school day and no nights or weekends, our program is perfect for people seeking a diverse and different working environment, working parents, and anyone who wants to make a difference in the dental field.

Qualifications for Registered Dental Hygienist

• Must hold an active RDH license
• Experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel to schools
• Works well with children and adults
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Current CPR (BLS) certification

Responsibilities of the RDH

• Assist with oral health management, be a team player
• Verify patient identity before treatment
• Obtain oral health assessments
• Review medical history and oral health info
• Provide oral hygiene services (prophylaxis, sealants, fluoride)
• Assist the dentist as directed
• Provide oral health education and counseling
• Document services on patient charts
• Travel daily to school sites
• Bilingual skills preferred
