Job summary

Amarillo Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics in Lubbock, TX seeks a competent Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to support the dentist and provide high-quality patient care.

You will handle patient preparation, sterilization, oral hygiene instruction, and help with treatment plans while adhering to health and safety regulations. This full-time, Monday–Friday role offers benefits including health insurance, PTO, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

  • Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) with active license.
  • Experience with dental office procedures and patient care.
  • Knowledge of health, safety regulations and sterilization.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients to the dental office
  • Prepare patients for appointments and ensure comfort
  • Sterilize instruments according to regulations
  • Provide excellent patient care
  • Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
  • Keep the dental area clean and stocked
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate care
  • Review treatment plans and discuss options
  • Comfortable with children/adolescents of all ages

Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)

Amarillo Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics

We are looking for a competent dental hygienist who will make the dentist’s office more efficient and pleasant for patients. You’ll ensure excellent customer service and perform administrative and basic dental tasks. Dental hygienists should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible.

Responsibilities
  • Welcome patients in the dental office
  • Prepare patients for dental appointments ensuring their comfort
  • Sterilize instruments according to regulations
  • Provide excellent patient care
  • Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
  • Keep the dental area clean and well-stocked
  • Schedule appointments
  • Create and review treatment plans
  • Comfortable with children/adolescents of all ages
Skills
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations
  • Progressional and presentable appearance with excellent communication and people skills
  • Well-organized and reliable
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to change
  • RDH active license required
  • Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. CPR, HIPAA, OSHA, Human Trafficking, Nitrous Certification, etc.)
  • Open Dental and Dexis experience (preferred)
