LOCATION : Littleton, CO

JOB TYPE : Part-Time / Full-Time

Pay Rate : $43-62 / hr

Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Hygienist to join our established, team-oriented practice. Our focus is on building long-lasting relationships with patients. The RDH promotes dental health by performing dental prophylaxis, providing oral cancer screenings and radiographic studies, charting decay and disease, and ensuring procedures comply with the dental practice act.

Responsibilities :

• Perform dental prophylaxis by cleaning deposits and stains from teeth and beneath gum margins.
• Detect diseases through oral cancer screening, visual and tactile examination of gums, periodontal probing, and radiographic studies.
• Prevent dental decay by applying fluorides and other cavity-preventing agents.
• Assist in managing dental and medical emergencies, maintaining CPR certification, emergency drugs, oxygen supply, and emergency contact information.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, postoperative care, and remind them of upcoming visits.
• Document services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting in patient records.
• Maintain dental equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and evaluating new techniques.
• Manage dental supplies inventory, check stock levels, place orders, and verify receipt of supplies.
• Enhance professional knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, networking, and participating in societies.

Requirements :

• License / Certification : Registered Dental Hygienist Required
• CPR Certification
