Job summary

SHD in Hayward, California is seeking a dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our private practice for 2 days per week. You will provide high-quality dental care, perform cleanings and examinations, and help ensure patient comfort throughout their visit in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities include maintaining aseptic techniques, documenting vital signs and treatment plans, educating patients on oral hygiene, and assisting the dentist during procedures to maintain a smooth workflow.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical records management.
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to dental procedures is advantageous.
• Ability to perform vital sign assessments and document findings accurately.
• Experience with assisting in various dental procedures is a plus.
• Proficiency in maintaining aseptic techniques within the clinical environment.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and comfort.
• A valid dental hygiene license is required.
