Job summary

Carimi Dental and Sedation on Daniel Island, SC is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our growing team in a modern, patient-focused practice where your care makes a real difference each day.

You will perform thorough cleanings, scaling and root planing, take and review X-rays with precise charting, educate patients on oral hygiene, and collaborate with dentists to tailor individualized treatment plans while upholding OSHA infection-control standards; required SC RDH

Qualifications

• Active SC RDH license
• Associate's or Bachelor's in Dental Hygiene
• CPR/BLS certification
• Experience with dental software preferred
• Strong knowledge of periodontal therapy
• Excellent chairside manner
• Strong communication, time management and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleanings, scaling and root planing
• Conduct periodontal charting and cancer screenings with the doctor
• Take and review dental X-rays and document findings
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care
• Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans

Carimi Dental and Sedation is looking for a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our growing team in beautiful Daniel Island, SC! Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures for a diverse patient base
• Work with doctor to conduct comprehensive oral health assessments, including periodontal charting and cancer screenings
• Take and review dental X-rays and document findings accurately in patient records
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, home care routines, and preventive strategies
• Collaborate closely with dentists to develop and communicate individualized patient treatment plans
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and compliant treatment environment following OSHA and infection control standards

Requirements:

• Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of South Carolina
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience with dental practice management software preferred
• Strong knowledge of periodontal therapy and preventive dental care
• Excellent chairside manner with the ability to put anxious patients at ease
• Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
