Job summary

Smiles Unlimited in Belton, MO is seeking a passionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing dental team. This role focuses on delivering patient-centered care with thorough cleanings, assessments, X-rays, and preventive treatments.

You will work with the dentist to develop individualized treatment plans and educate patients on proper oral hygiene. Missouri RDH license and CPR/BLS are required. Team collaboration and meticulous recordkeeping are essential in our supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in Missouri.
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience with dental practice management software preferred.
• Strong knowledge of periodontal therapy and preventive dental care.
• Excellent communication and patient relations skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work efficiently in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing procedures for patients
• Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments including periodontal evaluations
• Take and review dental X-rays and document findings accurately in patient records
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Screen patients for oral cancer, gum disease, and other dental conditions
• Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride and dental sealants
• Collaborate with the dentist to develop and implement individualized patient treatment plans
