Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Dental Hygiene license.
• Current Massachusetts Local Anesthesia Permit L.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive preventive and periodontal hygiene care.
• Perform periodontal assessment, prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and nonsurgical periodontal therapy.
• Administer local anesthesia when indicated.
• Obtain radiographs and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Educate patients on oral health, periodontal disease, home care, and treatment recommendations.
• Incorporate Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT/Airflow) into preventive care; training provided if needed.
• Collaborate closely with the dentist and clinical team to support comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain high standard of professionalism, infection control, and patient experience.

Bedford Dental is seeking an exceptional Registered Dental Hygienist to join our established, quality-focused private practice in Bedford, MA.

Our longtime hygienist is retiring, creating an opportunity to step into an established patient base in a practice that values comprehensive care, periodontal health, prevention, and long-term patient relationships.

This is not a high-volume or accelerated hygiene position. Our hygienists have dedicated one-hour appointments, allowing the time to provide thorough care, educate patients, and build meaningful relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive preventive and periodontal hygiene care
• Perform periodontal assessment, prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and appropriate nonsurgical periodontal therapy
• Administer local anesthesia when indicated
• Obtain necessary radiographs and maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Educate patients on oral health, periodontal disease, home care, and treatment recommendations
• Incorporate Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT/Airflow) into preventive care; training provided if needed
• Collaborate closely with the dentist and clinical team to support comprehensive patient care
• Maintain a high standard of professionalism, infection control, and patient experience

Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Friday might be added in 2027
