Registered Dental Assistant - RDA

Lancaster with Monday Float to Palmdale, CA

Youmusthave the following qualifications to be considered:

• Valid license as a Registered Dental Assistant in CA
• Certifications: Dental Assistant Certification, Coronal Polishing, X-Ray, CPR/BLS through AHA, and Pit and Fissure Sealants (will be required within 60 days upon the date of hire)
• High School or GED certificate required
• Years of experience: minimum of 1 year of Registered Dental Assistant experience

The Registered Dental Assistant assists the dentist(s) in providing primary care services to patients at the clinic as well as for sterilization, preparation, and inventory control of dental instrument supplies.

Schedule: Tuesday - Friday, and 1-2 Saturdays per month at Lancaster, and Monday float required to Palmdale Clinic as requested

If you are booked for a Saturday, you will have 1 weekday off

Pay Rate: $22.00 - $28.00 (Depending on years of experience and knowledge)

Responsibilities:

• The Registered Dental Assistant serves as dentist chair side assistant
• Assist patients in resolving minor difficulties, answering their questions and giving directions to patients as authorized by dentist
• Prepares operation procedure for patient treatment as per Dental department protocols or directions
• Completion of dental radiographs in accordance with state regulations and law
• Maintains all Dental Department equipment in accordance with manufacturer's directions
• Maintains a list of Dental Department patients, monitors patient flow, and assist dental director, dental hygienist in assuring that all patient records are documents are filed correctly
• Receives and places necessary telephone calls consistent with a professional manner
• May be required to preform front office duties such as: Scheduling, confirming appointments, verify insurance, check patients in and out, collect co-pay, and manage balance due
