Job summary

Mendocino Community Health Clinic, Inc. in Ukiah, CA is seeking a dedicated Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to support our mission of providing compassionate, high-quality care to our community. You will work Monday–Friday 8:30 a.m.

– 5:30 p.m., assist in exams and procedures, take impressions, manage isolation devices, educate patients, and uphold infection control standards. If you have a California RDA license, CPR/BLS certification, and willingness to travel to other MCHC sites, apply

• Willingness to travel to other MCHC sites for trainings/coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside and clinical support during exams and procedures.
• Take impressions for models and denture appliances.
• Place and remove rubber dams or isolation devices.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety; communicate observations to the dentist.
• Assist in discussing treatment plans with patients and act as liaison between provider and patient.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and care.
• Prepare and disinfect treatment rooms following infection control standards.

Requirements

• Current California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) License
• Current CPR/BLS Certification
• Willing and able to travel to other MCHC sites for trainings, meetings, and/or to cover shifts as needed.

Preferred

• 1+ years experience working in a dental office with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (fluent)
