Overview

Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)

Summary: The Registered Dental Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting orthodontic care by assisting in procedures, preparing treatment areas, managing instruments and supplies, and ensuring patient comfort. This role requires technical proficiency, compliance with safety protocols, and strong communication skills to provide quality orthodontic treatment.

Pay Range: $25.96-$34.81/hour (Based on experience)

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assists the doctor in procedures
  • Operated x-ray equipment and takes x-rays
  • Prophy teeth
  • Instructs patients on oral hygiene
  • Chart and treatment plan with doctor
  • Sterilizes instruments
  • Setup and prepares rooms for hygiene and treatment
  • Take IO's
  • Charting
  • Sealants, if applicable
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • Three to six months of relevant experience and/or training preferred.
  • BIlingual in Spanish, preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • California Registered Dental Assistant License
  • X-Ray Certification
  • Coronal Polish Certification required
  • Current BLS certification
  • Sealant Certification, preferred
