Qualifications

• California Registered Dental Assistant License required.
• Preferred experience or training in dental assisting.
• CPR / BLS certification and Coronal Polish Certification needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors in dental procedures.
• Operate x-ray equipment and take x-rays.
• Instruct patients on oral hygiene and prepare treatment rooms.

Job description

The Registered Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities : include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assists the doctor in procedures
• Operated x-ray equipment and takes x-rays
• Prophy teeth
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene
• Chart and treatment plan with doctor
• Setup and prepares rooms for hygiene and treatment
• Take IO's
• Charting
• Sealants, if applicable

Education and / or Experience :

• Certification from a dental college OR 3+ months related experience and / or training OR Equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations :

• California Registered Dental Assistant License
• CPR / BLS certification, X-Ray Certification
• Coronal Polish Certification required
• Current BLS certification
