Job summary

Eastern Dental in New Jersey is seeking a part-time Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) specialized in orthodontics. You will assist the Orthodontist, prepare patients for treatment, take radiographs, and maintain infection control standards while supporting the dental team.

The role includes chairside procedures one day per week on Tuesdays, with opportunities to contribute to patient education and daily office tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• RDA License required.
• Orthodontic dental assisting experience is a plus.
• X-Ray License is required.
• Denticon experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform orthodontic treatment procedures under the direct supervision of the Orthodontist.
• Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment.
• Take, develop and mount dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Manage infection control - sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Adhere to OSHA and safety policies and procedures.
• Provide patients with post-treatment oral care instructions.
• Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene during orthodontic treatment.
• Perform various office tasks as necessary.
