Job summary

Sherwin Owiesy DMD PLLC in North Scottsdale, AZ, seeks a motivated Registered Dental Assistant to join our patient-centered team. Assist the dentist across general dentistry procedures, prepare rooms, take digital X-rays, and maintain infection control while delivering exceptional patient care.

You’ll collaborate with front office, ensure comfort for patients, review treatment plans, and help maintain accurate records in a modern practice that emphasizes quality dentistry and work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Active Arizona Registered Dental Assistant license in good standing.
• Current radiography and CPR/BLS certifications required or attainable.
• Previous dental assisting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during general dentistry procedures (restorative, crowns, bridges, cosmetic, oral surgery as needed).
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments per OSHA standards.
• Take digital dental X-rays and intraoral scans as needed.
• Prepare and maintain dental instruments, materials, and equipment.
• Ensure patients are comfortable, informed, and cared for during visits.
• Review treatment plans and explain next steps with the dentist.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
• Support an organized, efficient clinical environment.
• Collaborate with front office to ensure smooth scheduling and patient flow.
