REGISTERED DENTAL ASSISTANT - FULL TIME

Position Overview

The successful candidate will have an exceptional work ethic, positive attitude, and strong commitment to providing excellent healthcare to our patients. The RDA assists in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients by performing routine and delegated duties per standards and policies. Responsibilities include scrubbing for surgical procedures, cleaning instruments and rooms, monitoring inventory, and working closely with dentists to ensure excellent patient care.

Essential Functions

• Assist and anticipate needs of the dentist and anesthesia provider regarding instruments, sutures, sponges, and supplies.
• Prepare for dental surgical cases by gathering supplies and ensuring all necessary items are available.
• Maintain inventory and stock rooms.
• Support procedures performed, understand dentist preferences, and provide age-appropriate care for pediatric and adolescent patients.
• Assist with patient transfer, decontaminate and maintain equipment, and follow sterilization guidelines.
• Take and check x-rays, handle dental materials, and assist in emergency care as needed.
• Perform front desk duties and act as a Patient Service Coordinator.

Position Requirements

• High School Graduate or Equivalent
• Completion of an Accredited Dental Assistant Program
• Current state license as a registered dental assistant
• At least one year of RDA experience
• Current BLS Certification
• Background and Drug Screening required
