Job summary

Qualifications

• Certificate or Associate Degree in dental assisting from a CODA-accredited program.
• 12 months experience within the preceding 36 months.
• Radiography certification as required by 42 CFR Part 75.
• English literacy for effective communication with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assists dentist at chair side and performs intra-oral procedures as directed.
• Sterilizes instruments, prepares surgical trays, and maintains equipment.
• Operates X-ray equipment and maintains patient radiographs.
• Obtains patient medical history and records treatment information.
• Schedules patients and enters workloads using Dentrix/MHS Genesis.
• Ensures infection control, confidentiality, and accuracy of records.
