Image Specialty Partners in Martinez, CA is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have a positive attitude, possess strong communication skills, and love working with children.

You will assist the dentist, prepare treatment rooms, take X-rays, maintain records, ensure infection control, educate patients, and support administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred.
• Current certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant (DA) in California.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Coronal Polishing certificate highly preferred.
• Previous experience in a dental office setting is a plus but not required; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and other treatments.
• Prepare and organize the treatment room, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready and sterile.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with established protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans, medical histories, and progress notes.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety procedures, including sterilization of instruments and proper disposal of hazardous waste.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-treatment care.
• Assist in inventory management, including ordering and stocking dental supplies.
• Support administrative tasks as needed

• Monday-Friday (2 Saturdays per month)
