Job summary

Rockville Smiles in California is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant (DA) to join our busy dental practice. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and have strong communication abilities, with a preference for bilingual skills (Spanish or Russian).

The role involves assisting dentists, taking X-rays, infection control, patient education, and administrative support in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant (DA) in California.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Coronal Polishing certificate required.
• Outgoing and friendly personality.
• Must enjoy working with children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Proven record of excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Bilingual in either Spanish or Russian is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Set up and breakdown operatory post-treatment.
• Take dental x-rays according to dentist's orders.
• Manage infection control - prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following dental treatment procedures.
• Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health.
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.
• Provide administrative support when necessary.
