Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our dental team. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist with various procedures, maintain infection control protocols, and ensure a smooth workflow within the office.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
• Perform basic dental procedures such as taking X-rays and impressions.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with regulations.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with patients and team members.
• Support pediatric dentistry practices when necessary, adapting communication styles to suit younger patients.
• Collaborate with the dental team to improve office systems and workflows.
  
  

Experience

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is required; past surgical experience helpful; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
• Familiarity with medical coding, dental terminology, and periodontal practices is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Open Dental or similar software for managing patient information is a plus.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control standards is essential for maintaining safety in the practice.
