Position: Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)

The RDA performs patient care, office, and laboratory duties. The primary role is to assist the dentist in gaining patient commitment to the best treatment with urgency. Key duties include:

  • Assisting the dentist in starting treatment, utilizing x-ray time to highlight the dentist's qualities, educating patients with intra-oral pictures, and supporting diagnosis after examinations.
  • Adhering to safety regulations, infection control, and permitted duties in compliance with state and federal laws.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist to gain patient commitment for optimal treatment.
  • Contribute to the Perfect Patient Experience® by focusing on patient needs and concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and welcoming environment; prepare patients and assist the doctors to ensure efficient, quality care.
  • Complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures as directed by the dentist.
  • Instruct patients on postoperative and oral health care.
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and operatories following ADA guidelines.
  • Comply with all relevant regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, Dental Board, etc.).
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED; specific training courses as required by state for certification, licensure, or registration.
  • Certifications/licenses as mandated by state (e.g., radiograph, ultrasonic scaling, sealant application).
  • Associate degree or certificate from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience preferred.

Compensation: $19.25 - $27.00 per hour
