Job summary

Carmel Mountain Dentistry in San Diego is seeking a part-time Registered Dental Assistant to support our doctor and dental team in a fast-paced private practice. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist during procedures, take and develop dental x-rays, and help maintain patient comfort.

Qualified candidates hold an active RDA license, with iTero experience a plus or willingness to learn. We offer competitive pay, medical insurance, a 401(k), paid time off, and a positive, collaborative work

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and treatment rooms for dental procedures
• Assist the dentist during various dental treatments and exams
• Take and develop dental x-rays as needed
• Operate dental equipment including iTero scanners (experience preferred, training available)
• Maintain accurate patient records and update Dentrix software
• Sterilize and organize dental instruments and equipment
• Provide excellent patient care and ensure comfort
• Manage inventory and order dental supplies as necessary
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards
• Collaborate with the dental team to maintain a smooth workflow

Shift & Schedule

• Monday to Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Fridays, Weekends: Closed

Requirements

• License & Certification: Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant

Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license

Experience with iTero scanners a plus or willingness to learn

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Positive attitude, reliability, and strong teamwork skills

Commitment to providing excellent patient care while maintaining a fun work atmosphere
