Job summary

Aria Community Health Center in California seeks a Registered Dental Assistant to provide oral hygiene and preventive services under a dentist's supervision.

Depending on expanded duties, the RDA may perform X-rays, sutures, polish, impressions, fluoride, and topical meds. The role includes preparing materials and equipment and performing other tasks as directed by Management Staff.

Qualifications

  • Active CA license and certification as a Registered Dental Assistant.
  • BLS Certification.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to work as a team player and work independently.
  • Excellent Communication Skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provides oral hygiene and preventive services to dental patients.
  • Evaluates and assesses provision of services.
  • Performs procedures safely under the direction of a dentist.
  • May perform X-Rays/imaging, remove sutures and dressings, tooth polishing, impressions, fluoride application, and topical medications (expanded roles).
  • Prepares materials and equipment for treatment and keeps them ready for use.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by Management Staff.

Evaluates and assesses provision of services. Performs procedures safely in compliance with regulations under the direction of a dentist. Provides patient education on various topics, including oral care techniques and overall dental health, to patients. Depending on expanded roles, education and training, the RDA may be privileged to perform X-Rays/imaging, remove sutures and dressings, tooth polishing, take impressions, apply fluoride and administer topical medications. Prepares materials and equipment for treatment and has them ready for use.
