Big Smiles, a school-based mobile dental practice, is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant in Oakland, CA and surrounding areas to provide dental care to underserved children at their school.

Our innovative in-school dental program offers a different experience than traditional practices, with a workday ending with the school day and no nights or weekends. This role is ideal for those seeking a diverse working environment, working parents, or anyone wanting to make a difference in the dental field.

Qualifications include:

• Active CPR certification
• At least 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant
• Digital X-ray Imaging experience
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work well with children and adults
• Organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to travel locally
• Coronal Polishing and Sealant certifications

Responsibilities include:

• Providing dental assisting services during mobile clinics
• Digital X-ray imaging
• Patient records charting
• Equipment setup, sterilization, and breakdown
• Travel to school sites daily
