Job summary

Smile Brands is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant for our Mission Viejo dental office. You will work closely with the dentist to support surgical procedures, including extractions and implants, while maintaining sterile procedures and accurate patient records.

The role requires CPR/BLs certification, a valid Registered Dental Assistant credential, and general or oral surgery experience. Duties include radiographs, patient instruction, and inventory management.

Qualifications

• CPR or BLS certification required.
• Registered Dental Assistant certification required.
• General or oral surgery experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the oral surgeon during procedures such as wisdom tooth extractions and implants.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and surgical equipment.
• Maintain sterile field and infection control protocols.
• Review patient medical histories and update records.
• Take and process digital radiographs and CBCT scans per certification.
• Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients.
• Assist with nitrous oxide and IV sedation under training and protocols.
• Document treatment notes and manage inventory and supplies.

Schedule (days/hours)

Monday-Friday (must have GP RDA/OSA exp)

Responsibilities

• Assist the oral surgeon during procedures such as:
• Wisdom tooth extractions
• Dental implant placements
• Bone grafting
• Extractions and other oral surgical procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and surgical equipment.
• Maintain sterile field and infection control protocols.
• Review patient medical histories and update records.
• Obtain vital signs and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Take and process digital radiographs (X-rays) and CBCT scans as permitted by certification.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative instructions to patients.
• Prepare and administer nitrous oxide and assist with IV sedation procedures as permitted by training and office protocols.
• Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of instruments and equipment.
• Document treatment notes and update electronic health records.
• Manage inventory and order clinical supplies as needed.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and California Dental Board regulations.
• Respond to patient questions and provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• cpr or bls
• registered dental assistant
• must have general or oral surgery experience

Compensation

$25-$27/hr
