Job summary

Mesquite Dental Group and Orthodontics in Mesquite, TX is seeking a dedicated Registered Dental Assistant to join our team. You will support the dentist, help secure patient commitment for optimal treatment, and maintain a cheerful, sterile operatory environment.

You will take x-rays and intra-oral photos as appropriate, ensure sterilization following ADA guidelines, and uphold HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory standards while delivering compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• As a Registered Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist to gain the patient's commitment for the best possible treatment with urgency.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment and complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures as appropriate.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories in accordance with ADA guidelines while complying with OSHA, HIPAA, and other regulations.

The Opportunity

As both a patient and clinician advocate, you are a fundamental part of the Perfect Patient Experience®. As a Registered Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting the dentist as necessary to gain the patient’s commitment for the best possible treatment with urgency.
• You will also maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patients feel comfortable and at the direction of the dentist, complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures of patients as appropriate.
• Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, equipment, and operatories in accordance with the American Dental Association guidelines while maintaining strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, HR policies and practices)
