Job summary

Oak Meadow Dental Center in Los Gatos, CA seeks a qualified Registered Dental Assistant to support dentists during exams and procedures and handle scheduling and patient care tasks.

The ideal candidate holds an RDA license with at least two years of experience, CPR/BLS, and strong computer and communication skills to deliver excellent patient service.

Summary

We are seeking a qualified and caring Registered Dental Assistant to join our team! As a Registered Dental Assistant, you will provide top-notch dental care that makes our clients feel like family. You will provide assistance to the dentist during exams and procedures and complete administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments. The ideal candidate is state-licensed as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and has at least two years of experience. Responsibilities:

Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable

Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have

Take vital signs and accurately record medical history

Prep sterilized equipment and make it available to the dentist for exams and procedures

Assist dentist during procedures and exams

Coronal polishing, making temporary crowns and taking x-rays.

Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies

Educating patient about necessary treatment and scheduling follow-up appointments

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree from a school certified by the Commission on Dental Accreditation

Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) state licensure

Previous experience as a dental assistant

Current Basic Life Support/CPR certification is required

Strong computer and data entry skills

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to provide high-quality patient care
