Job summary

La Canada Smiles Dentistry is seeking a motivated Dental Assistant to join our team in La Cañada Flintridge. You will support clinicians, help ensure a positive patient experience, and participate in delivering high-quality care.

You’ll work with modern dental technology, assist with radiographs and intra-oral imaging, and uphold strict infection control standards while maintaining a welcoming, efficient practice environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist as necessary to gain the patient’s commitment for the best possible treatment with urgency.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment and complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures as appropriate.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories following ADA and state guidelines.

The Opportunity

As both a patient and clinician advocate, you are a fundamental part of the Perfect Patient Experience. As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting the dentist as necessary to gain the patient’s commitment for the best possible treatment with urgency.
• You will also maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patients feel comfortable and at the direction of the dentist, complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures of patients as appropriate.
• Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, equipment, and operatories in accordance with the American Dental Association guidelines while maintaining strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, HR policies and practices)
