Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist dentists and dental hygienists during a variety of treatment procedures, including but not limited to exams, cleanings, and surgeries.
• Set up and sterilize instruments before procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are ready and properly laid out.
• Take dental radiographs (x-rays) as instructed.
• Help in the management of medical and dental emergencies when necessary.
• Maintain dental equipment in accordance with manufacturer's directions and hygiene standards.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the treatment areas and equipment.
• Adhere strictly to regulations and safety standards in all aspects of dental operations.

Requirements

• Certification in an accredited dental assisting program.
• Current dental assistant license and radiography certification.
