Position: Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)

Registered Dental Assistants perform patient care, office, and laboratory duties. The primary role of the RDA is to assist the dentist in providing the best possible treatment with urgency. Key duties include:

  • Assisting the dentist to gain patient commitment for treatment
  • Using x-ray time to highlight the dentist's qualities
  • Educating patients with intra-oral pictures
  • Supporting the dentist’s diagnosis and answering patient questions
  • Following safety, infection control, and permitted duties regulations
Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist to gain patient commitment for treatment
  • Contribute to the Perfect Patient ExperienceÔ by focusing on patient needs
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and welcoming environment
  • Prepare patients and assist the dentist during procedures
  • Complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures as directed
  • Instruct patients on postoperative and oral health care
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment per ADA guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED, with required state training courses
  • Certifications/licenses as mandated by state (e.g., radiograph, ultrasonic scaling)
  • Associate degree or certificate from an accredited institution preferred

Compensation: $23.50 - $32.75 per hour
