Compensation: $23.50-$32.75/hour

Position Overview

Registered Dental Assistants perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. The primary role is to assist the dentist in gaining the patient’s commitment to the best possible treatment with urgency. Key duties include:

  • Utilizing x-ray time to promote the qualities of the dentist
  • Learning patient expectations and educating them with intra-oral pictures
  • Using effective chair-side skills
  • Supporting the dentist’s diagnosis after examinations
  • Complying with safety, infection control, and permitted duties regulations
Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist to gain patient commitment for treatment
  • Participate in delivering the Perfect Patient Experience® by focusing on patient needs
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and welcoming environment
  • Prepare patients for treatment and assist the doctors
  • Complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures as directed
  • Instruct patients on postoperative and oral health care
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment per ADA guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED, with required training courses for certification/licensure
  • Relevant certifications/licenses as mandated by the state
  • Associate degree or equivalent preferred
