Job summary

Annashae in Black Mountain, North Carolina is seeking a skilled dental assistant to support dentists during examinations, treatments, restorative procedures, oral surgery, and emergencies. You will prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment, and provide chairside assistance with instrument transfer, suction, material preparation, and patient positioning.

You will take and process radiographs when authorized, maintain infection-control standards, keep accurate treatment

Responsibilities

• Assist the Dentist during examinations, treatments, restorative procedures, oral surgery, emergency dental care, and other dental procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, equipment, and dental materials prior to procedures.
• Provide chairside assistance, including instrument transfer, suction, preparation of materials, and patient positioning.
• Take and process dental radiographs when authorized and appropriately trained.
• Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment in accordance with applicable infection-control standards.
• Maintain accurate dental records, treatment documentation, charts, and related patient information.
• Prepare dental materials and supplies needed for procedures.
• Monitor and maintain dental supply inventory and ensure treatment areas remain properly stocked.
• Follow established safety, security, confidentiality, infection-control, and correctional facility procedures.
• Assist with scheduling, organization of dental services, and other related duties assigned by the supervising Dentist.
