Job summary

AltaMed is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to support dentists and hygienists in delivering primary dental care at our California clinic. Responsibilities include instrument sterilization, preparation, and inventory control, with strict infection control practices.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a CA RDA license with coronal polishing/X-ray and infection control certifications, and bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.

Qualifications

• CA licensed Registered Dental Assistant with coronal polishing/X-ray and infection control certifications.
• Sealants certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Valid CA Driver's License if assigned to Mobile Units.
• Background DOJ/FBI clearance within 30 days for Mobile Units.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• BL S certification or higher expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist and dental hygienist in the direct provision of primary dental care.
• Sterilize, prepare, and manage inventory of dental instruments and supplies.
• Maintain proper infection control in all patient care areas.

Job Overview

This position is responsible for assisting the dentist(s) and the dental hygienist(s) in the direct provision of primary care dental services to patients at the clinic.The Registered Dental Assistant is also responsible for sterilization, preparation, and inventory control of dental instruments, supplies, and for proper infection control of all areas involving patient care.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or GED certificate required.
• Credentialed as a valid licensed Registered Dental Assistant with the following certifications: Coronal polishing / X-Rays and Infection control.
• Pit and Fissure Sealants certification will be required within 60 days after the date of hire.
• Valid CA Driver's License, if assigned to Mobile Units, required.
• Successful completion of background DOJ/FBI clearance within 30 days of hire, if assigned to Mobile Units, is required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish also required.
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Compensation

$28.00 - $32.90 hourly
