Job description

The Securities Senior Sales Assistant (SSA) role is a position providing operational and sales support to multiple Financial Consultants (FCs) within their individual businesses, as well as supporting office initiatives. The SA role assists one or more Financial Consultants (FCs) in a Retail, High Net Worth, or Institutional capacity.

Successful incumbents are customer-focused, able to work independently, possess exceptional teamwork, planning, and organizational skills, and are creative and innovative. They should also be effective communicators with strong attention to detail, and capable of problem-solving and multitasking.

Responsibilities

  1. This position holds responsibilities in 4 primary categories: Sales Support, Compliance, Customer Service, and Teamwork. Some of the primary responsibilities include:
  2. Assist with opening and maintaining client accounts and records.
  3. Ensure completion of all client paperwork.
  4. Provide accurate, timely, and courteous responses to clients.
  5. Organize client files and set up systems to assist Financial Consultants with follow-up.
  6. Research and resolve complex and sensitive client issues and questions.
  7. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of firm and regulatory policies and procedures.
  8. Copy and retain all necessary documentation.
  9. Maintain accurate office logs.
  10. Back up other sales associates as required.
  11. Identify issues regarding office procedures and escalate appropriately.
  12. Participate in office or firm-wide initiatives as requested.
  13. Demonstrate teamwork, cooperativeness, and positivity.
  14. Follow approval channels for all correspondence and marketing.
  15. Create client correspondence and mailings as needed.
  16. Perform operational or administrative functions for client requests (e.g., check requests, wiring funds, address changes, dividend information).
  17. Enter trades in accordance with licensing and firm rules.
