Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a qualified Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist to join our cath lab team on a full-time, day shift. You will support physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures and participate in on-call rotations to respond to emergencies.

Requirements include High School Grad, RCIS certification, BLS and ACLS within required timeframes, and 1 year of invasive cardiac experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RCIS certification required.
• Experience in invasive cardiac environment preferred.
• Ability to assist physicians in diagnostic/interventional procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in diagnostic/interventional cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab.
• Administer medications under physician direction and ensure HIPAA/compliance.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies including STEMI activations.
• Contribute to quality assurance and process improvement in cath lab.

Working at a professional level, this role is central to the functioning of cardiac catheterization laboratories and other invasive cardiovascular environments.
