Job summary

AtlantiCare in New Jersey seeks an Echocardiograph Technologist to perform cardiovascular diagnostic testing and support the care team. The role requires proficiency with echocardiography equipment, and a proactive approach to confidentiality and patient care.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, cardiosonography credentials, and BLS. Registry eligibility is acceptable with planned certification within one year. 1–2 years of non-invasive cardiology experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of accredited cardiac sonography school preferred.
• Registered or Registry eligible Cardiac Sonographer required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• 1–2 years non-invasive cardiology technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs cardiovascular diagnostic testing according to established departmental procedures.
• Maintains echocardiography equipment per policies and reports malfunctions.
• Interprets heart rhythms and applies appropriate testing protocols.
• Works as part of the care team to meet patient needs and support departmental objectives.
