Job description

This is a great opportunity to supplement your income while improving children’s lives.

Centria Health is looking for Behavioral Health Technicians to work one-on-one with children and families with autism to implement learning programs, collect data on target behaviors, communicate with stakeholders, maintain client confidentiality, and regularly meet with their direct leader. You will build trust and care with the child and their family in their home setting within 15 minutes from where you reside.

Hourly Rate: $17 - $22

What makes this role unique?

What your day as a Behavioral Health Technician will look like:

  • At the child’s home, you will adapt teaching techniques to various physical and mental behaviors to provide one-on-one developmental and behavioral support, understanding some patient styles may be more confrontational than others.
  • For guided help, you will partner with a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized behavioral intervention plans which may include many physical and mental exercises to provide optimal support to your assigned child.
  • You will use evidence-based techniques to engage actively with children, which may include standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and at times carrying children or objects that weigh up to 50 pounds.

What we look for in our Behavioral Health Technicians:

  • A passion for helping children with autism and making a real difference in their lives.
  • Patience and compassion with the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • A high school diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification, and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the past year).
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
  • A minimum of one year experience working with children ages 0-18 in a daycare or classroom setting preferred.
  • A minimum of one year experience working one-on-one with clients in a behavioral health environment preferred.
