Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - This is a Part Time Role!

Job Description

Summary: The Registered Behavior Technician implements ABA services to clients as written by the supervising BCBA.

Essential Functions:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

  • Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy in the home and community environments.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans and programs as written by the supervising BCBA.
  • Data collection and session note submission according to company policy.
  • Collaborate with peers and supervisors.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings and trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

RBT Certification or Equivalent: It is the employee’s responsibility to always maintain an active RBT certification; an active certification is a requirement of this position. Employees whose certification lapses will undergo an immediate removal from client cases until an active status is obtained. An inactive status will affect your ability to work at Step Ahead ABA.

Employment Classification and Hours:

  • Variable employees are not guaranteed a minimum number of hours.
  • If a Variable employee does not engage with a client for a duration of 3 months anytime during employment, Step Ahead ABA has the right to terminate employment.
  • Engagement with a client is defined as: rendering direct services to a client and converting a worked appointment to a timesheet.
  • At the conclusion of and/or hour reduction of any case assignment, Employee understands and agrees that it is their own duty and responsibility to request additional case assignments from our Client Care Coordinators, should they wish to resume employment with the company.

Work Environment: This position provides in-home services. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Respecting the home of the client.
  • Leaving program materials in the home.
  • Sitting for an extended period of time.
  • Playing with the client.
  • May involve lifting the client.
  • May involve running after the client.

Policies and Procedures: As a Step Ahead ABA employee, you will be expected to abide by Step Ahead ABA’s rules and standards. Specifically, you will be asked to sign an acknowledgment that you have read and understand Step Ahead ABA’s rules of conduct which are included in the Employee Handbook.

Required Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience working in another ABA practice.
