Job summary

Open Sky Community Services is a compassionate organization providing housing and support services to adults with developmental challenges in Central Massachusetts. The Behavior Technician assists the BCBA by implementing treatment plans and delivering one-on-one interventions to teach communication and daily living skills in home and community settings.

The role focuses on crisis management, staff coaching, and collaboration with clinical teams to ensure effective behaviors support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities in a group living environment.
• Registered Behavior Technician or willingness to obtain certification within the first 3 months of employment.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving history, required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing Positive Behavior Support Plans under the supervision of the BCBA.
• Deliver direct one-on-one behavioral interventions to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Provide crisis management and intervention supports to programs.
• Complete documentation according to prescribed timelines.
• Collaborate with program and clinical teams to ensure consistent service delivery.

Job Description:Open Sky supports adults with developmental and intellectual challenges who are referred by the Department of Developmental Services. The RBT will also provide direct one-on-one behavioral interventions to teach communication, social, and daily living skills as well as reduce challenging behaviors in the home and community settings.Other Key Responsibilities:Assist in the completion of all documentation according to prescribed timelines.Provide crisis management and intervention supports to programs.
